The Shellac is a natural resinous substance produced by insect bites on the eastern trees such as Ficus Religious or Ficus Indica. The resin that comes out of the trees wraps the insects taking over their color and some of their substances. Through a long production and purification process we can obtain these golden brown coloured flakes which are then used for the finishing of furniture and wood surfaces. The Shellac dissolves in alcohol higher than 94 °. It gives the surface a particular luster dry and velvety to the touch and it highlights the veins and the marbling of wood giving a particular aesthetic effect as well.
Available dewaxed and TN flakes.
PACKING: jute bags of 25 and 50 Kg.
